So, I was messing around with Fortnite the other day—don’t ask me why, it’s just what I do when I’m trying to avoid adulting—and I noticed some new weirdness. Epic Games did this thing where they nerfed the Bass Boost Hero Item. Like, seriously? Who even uses that? But anyway, fast forward, they also threw in some superheroes—yup, Superman and Robin. I guess it’s no biggie, just your regular clash of capes on a digital island.
But wait, rewind. There’s this whole lawsuit thing too, where Epic is chasing down some player for creating cheat software. Not surprised, since cheating ruins the fun. Imagine going through walls, finding out someone’s been auto-aiming at you. Annoying, right? I kinda appreciate Epic’s zero-tolerance on this, even though battles go haywire sometimes.
Anyway—no, hold up—back to those Fortnite changes. Suddenly, the Bass Boost’s damage to structures dropped from 2,000 to 250. Oof! Talk about hitting a wall. Some players are ticked off, others relieved. Me? I’m just trying to survive til the weekend.
And that blast radius thing? It’s like when you order a large pizza and get a medium. If that makes sense. Also, did I mention the Star Wars collab was epic? Blasting the Death Star was wild. Ah, the good ol’ days.
Meanwhile, Epic’s busy in their courtroom drama. It’s like they’re saying, “We’re here to have fun, not duck cheaters.” Okay, maybe not in those words, but you get it.
I digress. So yeah, Fortnite’s all about the heroes this season. Maybe I’ll actually use Superman next time I drop in. Or maybe I’ll just scroll Instagram again cause it’s probably going down in shifty shafts right now.
Okay, I’m out—until the next update wrecks havoc or brings my next excuse to procrastinate. Who knows?
