Just got back from Summer Game Fest 2025, and Capcom kinda blew my mind with their news. Three big titles got everyone buzzing. Here’s my take, and if it feels jumbled, well, my brain’s still reeling.
### Resident Evil Requiem: Whoa!
So, Resident Evil Requiem. The new lead, Grace Ashcroft, what a name, right? She’s diving into some spooky stuff—totally fits with the series’ creepy vibe. And can you believe it? Thirty years of this franchise and they’re cranking it up with more action. It drops February 27, 2026. Mark it—unless you’re like me and forget things about five minutes later.
### Street Fighter 6: Round 3
Okay, I got so hyped when they announced four fighters returning for Street Fighter 6’s Year 3. Sagat, that tower of a man, shows up next summer. Then C. Viper, Alex, and even Ingrid pop in later. A million dollars up for grabs at Capcom Cup 12 in Japan? Yeah, right, like I’d survive ten seconds. But hey, if you think you can smack some folks around, sign up. Oh, and they’ve wrapped up Years 1-2 Fighters Edition, covering all bases if you’re late to the party.
### Onimusha: Way of the Sword: Samurai Dreams
Onimusha: Way of the Sword gave me some goosebumps. Set in the Edo era, with Miyamoto Musashi slicing through malevolent critters. Dark fantasy all over the place. There’s a rival, Sasaki Ganryu, wielding that iconic Oni Gauntlet. A woman also appears in this tale but who knows what her deal is. Oh, almost forgot—Onimusha 2 remaster hit back in May. You can grab that nostalgia trip with the Onimusha 1+2 pack.
So that’s my chaotic recap from Capcom at Summer Game Fest. Plenty more details to come as these games roll out. Whether you’re dodging zombies, taking a beatdown, or swinging a katana, 2025’s shaping up to be a wild ride. Appreciate you hanging in there with my overloaded brain!
