As December 3rd rolls around, PlayStation celebrates a significant milestone—its 30th anniversary. To mark this grand occasion, Sony Interactive Entertainment organized the 2024 PlayStation Partner Awards in Japan Asia. This prestigious event recognizes and celebrates the outstanding achievements of games and their creative developers who have released their titles on PlayStation systems across the Japan/Asia region.

The awards this year not only spotlight the most successful titles from the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 which launched between October 2023 and September 2024, but they also take a retrospective look. Games crafted by Japanese and other Asian developers on legacy PlayStation platforms, such as the original PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PSP, PS3, PS Vita, and PS4, are also honored. Excellence Award

This recognition is given to a title from the Japan/Asia region that has consistently showcased a remarkable impact and commercial success over the past three years. This year, that honor goes to:

Grand Award

Reserved for the top three titles developed in Japan and Asia with the highest worldwide sales from October 2023 to September 2024. This year’s winners are:

• Black Myth: Wukong by Game Science Interactive Technology
• Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree by FromSoftware, Inc / Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.
• Final Fantasy VII Rebirth by Square Enix Co. Ltd

Partner Award

Presented to prominent titles from Japan/Asia that achieved top-ranking worldwide sales in the past year. These standouts are:

• Dragon’s Dogma 2 by Capcom Co., Ltd.
• Honkai: Star Rail by HoYoverse
• Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth by Sega
• Persona 3 Reload by Atlus Co., Ltd

Special Award

This unique honor is given to PS5 titles created in partnership with SIE outside the Japan/Asia region that achieved remarkable success within the region. Winners include:

Users’ Choice Award

Voted on by users, this award highlights the top five titles released in the Japan/Asia region, based on overall gameplay time from October 2023 to September 2024. Fans chose:

This honor celebrates fan-favorite titles from each PlayStation era, previously recognized in the PlayStation Partner Awards.

• PlayStation 2 Generations (2000 and beyond): Final Fantasy X by Square Enix Co. Ltd.
• PlayStation Portable Generations (2004 and beyond): Monster Hunter Portable 3rd by Capcom Co., Ltd.
• PlayStation 3 Generations (2006 and beyond): Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots by Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.
• PlayStation Vita Generations (2011 and beyond): Persona 4 Golden by Atlus Co., Ltd
• PlayStation 4 Generations (2013 and beyond): Elden Ring by FromSoftware, Inc / Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.
