Mark your calendars for Friday, December 6th. The competition runs from 18:00 to 20:00 CET (or 17:00 to 19:00 UK time), and gamers from Austria to the United Kingdom are ready to dive into action. Residents in certain geographical areas too far from Central Europe, like the Azores and Svalbard archipelago, might find joining the fray challenging due to connectivity concerns.
How to Join the Battle
Participation is simple: ensure your Nintendo Account is set to one of the eligible countries, maintain an active Nintendo Switch Online membership, and fire up your console. Whether you’re on a free trial or a full subscription, you’re all set. Dive into the main menu, hit "Online," select "Official Tourney Qualifiers," and you’re in!
Scoring the Tourney
This special event introduces the Tourney score system—a reflection of your skills and how you stack up against others in the tournament. Each match impacts your rating based on your performance and that of your opponents. Want to rise in ranking? Play as many matches as you can during the event. Don’t worry if a match starts before the event ends—every point counts until you’re finished.
Prizes Await the Best
At the end of the road, the top 10 competitors will each pocket 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points. Didn’t make the top 10 but still scored high? You could be one of the next 90 players, each winning 1,000 Gold Points. Keep your account settings in line with participating countries and play fair; cheating or any misconduct will lead to disqualification, as per Nintendo’s guidelines.
Claiming Your Rewards
Winners can expect their Gold Points to shine bright in their My Nintendo Point Log within two weeks post-event. Make sure to keep your eyes on the prize!
