Nintendo eShop Updates – November 7, 2024 – Announcement

Last week, a few things slipped under our radar, including Tecmo’s rather artfully named release, Riot, now available in the Archives.

Even though a company has gone all out to be noticed with the unusual pricing of $79.99 USD due to a 1-1 conversion rate between the USD and yen, the game everyone is buzzing about this week is definitely Mario and Luigi: Brothership. This fresh RPG take is from the creators behind Octopath Traveler 2, joined by some ex-AlphaDream talent, offering a promising blend of exhilarating action. Rumor has it, this game might even have influenced the demise of a Sony live service game. Also hitting the scene this week are the fan disc for Virche: Evermore (yes, the one with the Logan’s Run-esque theme), the latest installment in the River City Saga (think of it as a fantasy RPG), and the possibly Saudi-backed Metal Slug Tactics.

Here are some other releases to note: You’ve got The Alchemist of Arc Magna, coming in at a hefty $80 USD. Then there’s the Wholesome Direct special, Magical Bakery, and a cool-looking shooter titled Angel at Dusk. The EggConsole makes its return with Xak II, a bump-and-run RPG that thankfully doesn’t require too much English knowledge.
