Ayaneo 3 Gaming Handheld to Feature AMD Strix Point CPU, Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, and 7-Inch OLED Display

Renowned for its innovative handheld consoles, Ayaneo has just pulled the curtain back on its newest flagship device, the Ayaneo 3. Building on the groundwork laid by its predecessor, this latest model keeps close to its successful formula in terms of design, featuring a familiar shape and button layout. However, what really sets it apart are the significant hardware upgrades it brings to the table.

The Ayaneo blog provides a glimpse into the choices available for this new device. You can opt for either an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor or go all out with the beefier AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. The console also boasts a seven-inch display, available in either a high-refresh LCD or an OLED HDR version, promising gamers enhanced immersion. At present, Ayaneo is holding back on releasing more details about the Ayaneo 3. Therefore, any specifics regarding its RAM, storage capabilities, and pricing remain under wraps. Looking back at the Ayaneo 2, which came equipped with either 16GB or 32GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 512GB to a whopping 2TB, we can make some educated guesses. The Ayaneo 2 launched starting at $1,099, with the premium B.Duck model reaching $1,549. It’s a safe bet that the Ayaneo 3 will present similar configurations, likely at slightly increased price points.

With the Ayaneo 3 debuting as one of the first handheld consoles incorporating the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, it marks a significant milestone. While many of today’s games don’t fully utilize the NPU features included in the HX 370, thanks to its four extra cores, innovative Zen 5 architecture, and the AMD Radeon 890M integrated GPU, this processor packs more power than the Ryzen 7 8840U.
