Stellar Blade popped up outta nowhere last year, right? Total surprise hit. And now, from what I’ve heard, developer Shift Up is cooking up more magic with a PC version. Oh, and guess what? They’re also dropping a Complete Edition. No idea if they planned it like this—or just winging it? Who knows. Anyway… moving on.
### When’s This Thing Droppin’?
So, about those release dates. Picture this: the official PlayStation YouTube channel — oops! Totally leaked the Stellar Blade trailer. It was up one minute and, poof, gone the next. But you know the internet never forgets, right? Fans snagged it and plastered it all over the Stellar Blade subreddit before anyone could blink. So, mark June 11 on your calendar. That’s when the game’s hitting PC, and the Complete Edition drops on both PS5 and PC. Same day, folks. Talk about a double whammy.
Now, what’s in this Complete Edition? Loads of stuff for newbies. You’ve got the whole game, mind you, plus this snazzy Planet Diving Suit for Eve (Captain version, if you’re curious), some Fluffy Bear Pack Drone Cosmetics, and cool tie-ins with Nikke and Nier: Automata. Preorder peeps get extra goodies too—some Classic Round Glasses, Ear Armor Earrings, and a Planet Diving Suit (White Edition!) for Eve. Nice perk, right?
But hey, they’re keeping mum on the price. Maybe they’ll spill the beans soon, especially since that video slipped out early. I mean, I wouldn’t hold my breath, but it can’t be that far off.
Let’s not forget how Stellar Blade blew up last year. Critics loved it, scoring an 81 on Metacritic from 134 reviews. Even snatched up awards left and right. At The Game Awards, it was a big deal, and over at the PS Blog’s Game of the Year Awards, it snagged the Platinum for Best New Character. Impressive much?
Sales? Through the roof. Shift Up even handed out 5 million won bonuses to all employees (that’s like $3,400 bucks, plus a PS5 Pro thrown in for good measure). Sounds like a happy office party to me.
