CHARTS: Stalker 2 Climbs to No.1 on Steam

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, hot off the press, topped the sales charts on Steam last week. Released on November 20th, this eagerly awaited game has already surpassed a million copies sold. This adds to the number of players who have dived into the game using Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass. For the team over at GSC Game World, it’s a triumphant moment, especially considering that many brought this game to life amidst the chaos of a warzone.

In shaking up the rankings, Heart of Chornobyl relegated Counter-Strike 2 to second place. Meanwhile, Valve saw a jump in demand for their Steam Deck console, propelled by the launch of a limited, fresh white edition. This new version, introduced on November 18th, flew off the shelves almost instantly.

PUBG: Battlegrounds and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 each slipped a notch, landing them in fourth and fifth respectively. Taking the sixth spot, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 made its debut appearance, despite grappling with some widely noted technical hiccups.

Meanwhile, the Early Access RPG, Path of Exile 2, managed to secure the seventh spot in the Steam rankings even before its December launch. This is largely due to the allure of Supporter Packs, providing players exclusive access on launch day.

Amazon and NCSoft’s Throne and Liberty climbed two spots, capturing the eighth position, right in front of EA Sports FC 25, which settled at ninth. Valve’s popular game, Dota 2, rounds out the list, sitting at number ten.
