Okay, let’s see… Ever had one of those mornings where you wake up and the world doesn’t quite make sense? You know, like the BBC claiming you can shove an NES game into a Super Nintendo and expecting it to work. No clue why this baffles me, but it does. Maybe I need more coffee.
Anyway, this week in Nintendo land, we’re all buzzing about Donkey Kong Bananza. I’m actually pretty excited for the review—whenever that happens. But there’s more on my radar. Like, did someone really come up with a Pac-Man exploration platformer? I mean, I’m intrigued, but also very confused. Especially since this is supposedly huger than Montreal in Shadow Labyrinth—which I guess it is if you snag it on Switch. Oh, and there’s also The Wandering Village, which sounds nuts. Imagine building a city on some huge beast. Yeah, that’s happening.
In other gaming craziness, maybe you blinked and missed the new ArcSys fighter—HunterxHunter NenxImpact. It’s by the Dragon Ball FighterZ folks, so… fingers crossed? There’s also a blast from the past: Neverwinter Nights 2 is back. Nostalgia trip, anyone? Digital Eclipse is sprucing up some Golden Tee games, but no trackball which, honestly, is kind of tragic. And, oh, apparently the RPG God Wars has found a new home with a different publisher.
Last week—yes, I did forget—a few nuggets slipped past us. Super Dimension Fortress Macross II popped into the mix, and some rogue Australian Rules football game made a quiet debut. Seems like they bypassed licenses, so still no fantasy Grand Final with St. Kilda and Gold Coast. Imagine that though.
Oh, and did you catch Willem going on about Pineapple: A Bittersweet Revenge? Would you believe it’s practically a steal in the US and Europe, but Canada? Eighty bucks! What’s that about? Maple syrup tax?
Switch stuff this week… There’s the big ones like Donkey Kong Bananza for $69.99 in the US (or a cool $99.99 if you’re O Canada). Pac-Man’s newest adventure is also dropping. And if you like your anime, HunterxHunter Nen Impact is on the list. Bustafellows, Upin & Ipin, and a Neverwinter remake all happening too. Seriously, the lineup is sprawling.
Over in Europe, similar story. Donkey Kong’s swinging in, Pac-Man’s doing his maze thing, and HunterxHunter continues the madness. Some nifty niche bits like Golden Tee and Neon Noodles are arriving. You know, if that’s your thing.
Japan, naturally, keeps up its own pace. Donkey Kong’s hyped, and the usual suspects—Pac-Man and HunterxHunter—are kicking around.
Alright, I’m losing track now. But if nothing else, I should mention a quirky standout: Korean Drone Flying Tour Pocheon-si. Anyone know what that even means? Cheap thrill though!
Sales-wise, Another Crab’s Treasure is on sale till—I’m not sure—soonish? Worth a peek on PSPrices or DekuDeals.
Let me know if I rambled too much. Or not enough? I really can’t tell anymore.
