Okay, listen up. So, I’m just sitting here, scrolling through the online chaos, right? And bam, this PS4 game catches my eye—Children of Morta. Like, why haven’t I heard more people yelling about this? Seriously, it’s going for just $4.39 now in some wild PS Store July deal. I mean, I don’t usually get all financial planner about games, but that’s nuts. It’s like finding a diamond in a discount bin!
So, let’s back up a bit. This game came out in 2019, by these folks called Dead Mage and 11 Bit Studios. And—oh, here’s a kicker—it’s totally PS5-ready. None of that, “Will it work?” nonsense. Packed with stuff to do, you won’t know which way is up.
Oh, and the discounts don’t stop there. They’ve slashed prices on some add-ons too. Classic move, right? They’ve got this Ancient Spirits DLC—fancy name, huh?—at $1.74 if you’re like me and got PS Plus. Non-PS-Plus peeps, it’s $1.99. Oh, and there’s more: Paws and Claws DLC. I’m guessing it’s dog or cat-related? Anyway, $0.69 with PS Plus. That’s basically a candy bar.
Anyway—so, the whole shebang with all the extras? Normally $26.99, now at sale prices till July 17. Don’t ask me how they pick these dates.
I got stuck thinking about the Bergson family. Yeah, seven characters—like Pokémon, but different. You’re off on some quest with this crew, something about “The Corruption” spreading. Why is it always some corruption or evil? Maybe it’s meant to be dramatic or something. The Mountain Morta needs heroes, they say.
Oh, and there’s local co-op for those times when you want to bother… uh, I mean, play with friends. Plus some Family Trials mode, separate from the story. Different ways to play, this and that.
Bottom line: Loads of fun jammed into this thing, and for the price of a fancy latte? That’s a no-brainer.
Honestly, I don’t even know why I’m sharing this. Just thought y’all should know.
