Wow, they finally started shipping those new headsets, Beyond 2, or so Bigscreen claims. Took them a bit longer than expected, right? I swear I read somewhere they had this production hiccup. Anyway—wait, what was I saying? Oh, yeah, apparently these headsets are out the door now. But with all those pre-orders stacked up like unread emails, who knows when everyone will actually get one. They say August or maybe September for new orders. Fingers crossed, I guess!
Two models here, by the way. The regular Beyond 2 and this fancy Beyond 2e with eye-tracking—mind-boggling stuff, huh? Sets you back $1,019 or $1,219 respectively. Direct from Bigscreen, so no middleman markup. Sweet, right?
And get this—when they opened up pre-orders, those first 24 hours sold like hotcakes. Beat the pants off their original headset sales in, like, a four-month stretch. Crazy! In just 11 days, they managed to outsell Beyond 1’s first year. Makes you wonder what they’ve got in there that’s so special.
So now they’re ramping up production out in Los Angeles. Hiring techies, maybe even doing cartwheels—I mean, they must be stoked. They’ve even got engineers flying around the world to babysit their suppliers. Important stuff, I guess.
Oh, and those Custom-Fit Cushions? If you ordered any by May 7, expect your cozy face pads by mid-August. But the Halo Mounts, eh, those are apparently stuck in the slow lane—sometime September or October. Go figure.
Also, a heads-up for the OGs who ordered a Beyond 1 and are still waiting—Bigscreen is just handing you a Beyond 2 instead, like a little surprise upgrade. Nice, right? They’re trying to clear that by July 25th. Better late than never, maybe?
And about those government tariffs everyone loves so much—Bigscreen swears their new headset price isn’t budging because of them. Phew! Wouldn’t want an extra surprise on the bill, would we?
