Life sim inZOI is shaking things up with their first DLC, Island Getaway. Krafton sort of spilled the beans on it, and surprise—it’s free for all you current owners. Why? No idea. But hey, I’m not complaining.
And guess what? inZOI is finally hitting Macs. Took long enough, right?
Island Getaway launches on August 20, right after it gets its moment at gamescom Opening Night on the 19th. Kind of thought they’d just surprise us at the show. But nah, Krafton couldn’t keep it under wraps.
This DLC brings a new map called Cahaya. Think Southeast Asian vibes on two islands. You can swim, snorkel, all that jazzy stuff. Oh, and farming. No clue if I’d be good at it, but sounds fun.
Plus, loads of tropical-themed outfits and hairstyles. Dressing up your character might just become your new obsession. I know I’d probably waste hours on that.
The update doesn’t stop there. Farming, fishing, mining—yeah, even gem crafting—are going global across all maps. And how about electric scooters and motorcycles? Zoom around in style.
Conversations with characters might get interesting too. There are new mechanics like thought bubbles and random hangouts. Sounds like they’re aiming for those random magical interactions. “Cooperative actions” is what Krafton calls it. Whatever that means.
There are quality-of-life tweaks, too. UI revamp, 90 new tracks to groove to—yep, they’re serious about the music—and early gamepad support. Still testing, but hey, it’s something.
And, oh! On August 20, inZOI hits Mac. Find it on Steam and the App Store. Finally, right?
