Oh boy, so here we go — Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is back, and it’s itching for attention on PlayStation 5. Seriously, can you handle it? If you can, maybe you’d wanna glance at my two cents on Tape 2. I mean, I dabbled in Tape 1 and, man, it left me craving more time-travel shenanigans. Yup, we’re bouncing between the 90s and the 2020s like it’s no biggie. Swann, Autumn, Nora, and Kat are all waiting for you after that jaw-dropper of an ending in the first part. Wild stuff happens, but I’m keeping a lid on the spoilers, so you’ll just have to trust me on this one.
There’s this image of Swann rummaging through her memories like she’s in a fever dream, and you get to be part of it. No joke, the experience is a blend of being a detective and a movie director with Swann’s camera guiding you through these vivid moments, uncovering memories like your life depends on it. Weirdly satisfying, right? Oh, and don’t even get me started on the trophies you could snag.
Yep, Tape 2 throws a whole bunch at you — a hefty Platinum trophy hustle if you’re into that sort of thing. Trophies for literally everything, from collectibles to lightning-speed packing, not that I’m spoiling anything here. Uh, did I mention there’s also a wacky hidden image thing? More than meets the eye, I suppose! Anyway, moving on.
That little taste of the 90s nostalgia sprinkled with today’s chaos makes it oddly familiar yet fresh — probably because we’re already on a first-name basis with Swann and crew. Oh, and those choices you make can twist the story in ways you might — or might not — expect. Let’s just say the ending might catch you off guard as the credits roll.
P.S. It’s priced at $39.99 on PS5. Just throwing it out there, because, yeah, you might want to know that before diving headfirst into this quirky, tangled trip down memory lane.
Anyway, where was I? Ah, right, someone handed me this review copy, so shoutout to DON’T NOD for the experience — they probably think I’m nuts with how hyped this got me, but hey, that’s just me being honest!
