Preview of Wildgate Community Launching May 9!

So, uh, there’s this thing happening for Xbox Insiders. It’s called the Wildgate Community Preview. Not sure why it caught my eye—maybe it was the timing? Anyway, if you’re on Xbox Series X|S, you can jump in. The whole thing kicks off May 9 at 9:00 AM PDT (that’s 17:00 BST for those keeping track). Honestly, if you’ve got nothing else going on, might as well sign up. Still some space left, so… yeah. You’ll be soaring alongside other folks, trying to nab the Artifact or just collect some wild stories. Ships and lasers, you know how it is.

So, get this: Epic spaceship battles. You can blast others with all sorts of fancy cannons or set traps. It’s like… chaos in space—it makes sense, though, right? Sometimes your grand plan blows up (literally), and all you can do is wing it.

Every match has, let’s say, a new twist. The map—the Reach (sounds dramatic)—it switches up every game. So you’re always on your toes. Either beat everyone else to the loot or go home with zilch. No pressure.

And yeah, there’s a bunch of these Prospector types. Each one has their own bag of tricks. Fancy yourself a space pirate or maybe just an opportunist with a knack for shenanigans? No judgment.

Now the Reach—man, it’s wild. Cosmic storms, a few pesky space critters creeping around, and outposts hiding all sorts of treasure. Kind of like a treasure hunt, but in space. It’s thrilling or terrifying depending on your mood.

Oh, and the Artifact. It’s this super valuable something-or-other everyone wants. First one to nab it gets all the glory. Or you could just take out all the other ships and waltz out of there. Choices, am I right?

When’s all this going down? Kicking off Friday, May 9 at 9:00 AM PDT (17:00 BST again). And wrapping up on Monday, May 12 at 5:00 PM PDT (May 13 01:00 BST).
